Three days of music, sunshine, and ragin’ in Florida. That’s how BROTHERLY LOVE PRODUCTIONS got down a few weeks ago, delivering another wildly successful installment of AURA MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL in Live Oak.
For all you who went, what did you think and who was your favorite acts? Break Science? Nigel Hall? The return of RAQ (!!!)? All I can say is BLP did an amazing job with the lineup and location, and they definitely know how to throw a frickin’ party!!!
Check out the video highlights and pcitures below, and expect 2014 to be even bigger and badder than this monster was… These guys don’t play around!

Check out the new video, “FAMOUS,” from Brazil’s BLACK DRAWING CHALKS! @sxsw #brazil #rockandroll
Cool! My first post about a band from Brazil! Black Drawing Chalks, hailing from Goiania, is perfect for all of you QOTSA-types, with a fuzzy blend of straight forward Rock n Roll, and have already shared bills with every act to make me drool incessantly. GnR, RATM, Motorhead? These guys have done it.
Now, they’re making there way over to the states, debuting at SXSW 2013! Check ’em out if you’re going, and take 5 minutes out of your day to see what’s happening in other parts of the world! Music is universal.

Interview with Dave from Sister Sin; On tour supporting “Now and Forever” on Victory Records @sistersin @victoryrecords
Gothenburg, Sweden quartet Sister Sin singer Liv has one wish for her fans: “”We want to make you all bang your head, spit your beer and leave the gig with a big smile and a good wry neck!” I can dig that. Can you?
Drummer Spotlight Interview with KIEL FEHER; @kielfeher @frankandderol @hotel_cinema @wearesatellite
How do you tell if the stage is level? The drummer is drooling from both sides of his mouth.
Drummers always get a bum rap. Why is that? Ever seen a good band with a shitty drummer? No. Know why? BECAUSE THEY DON’T FUCKING EXIST (with exception for The Beatles.)
Drummers rule. We hit stuff, get peoples’ butts shaking, and ultimately determine whether or not the band is going to perform well. You CANNOT have a solid band without a solid drummer, so all you 6-string wankers out there with your tapping and flooded solos can suck it… This one is for the hitters. I’ll be sitting down and chatting with several drummers of note in the future to give them a bit more exposure and some insight as to what they do. Here’s one with drumming phenom Kiel Feher, who will be the session guy everyone is calling for sooner than not. Be nice now and secure a good rate… His’ll be skyrocketing in the future.
Interview with Mike Gantzer from AQUEOUS; Playing Nietzsche’s in Buffalo TONIGHT! @aqueous
Buffalo, NY groove-rock quartet Aqueous is a lot of fun, both in the way they compose their tunes and how they deliver them in concert. I know some of you will read this, see the word “Jam,” and immediately peg the group as a bunch of Deadhead wannabes, but that couldn’t be further from the truth… Praise Jeebus.
