Interview with Mark and Adam from STOKESWOOD; Playing AURA Music Fest in 10 days! @stokeswood @auramusicfest
I was introduced to Atlanta, Georgia based 5-piece band Stokeswood during SXSW 2012, where they came and played a showcase I was throwing. Stokeswood were a standout out act of standup guys who played one of the most unique sets of the week, and they’re definitely something to behold live in concert.

Interview with Syracuse’s CHARLEY ORLANDO; New Album “Organica” drops TOMORROW – 2/5/13 – on Milieu Records! @charleyorlando
Syracuse, NY’s Charley Orlando is back at it again. Seemingly not content to stay in one place for too long, Charley’s vast career has taken him all over the United States several times, with hopes to perform far and beyond this well-treaded geographic area. Whether in a rowdy bar with beer drenched patrons or a quiet coffee shop with more readers than drinkers, his diverse musical skill set and easy smile garners him new friends and fans wherever he goes.
REGENTS “Antietam Afterparty” drops super limited vinyl today; Here’s an interview we did
Need to spend some money today? Like vinyl? If so, Regents has just put up a ridiculously small amount of their latest album, Antietam Afterparty, on a bunch of cool colors. Limited to as low as 25, these are a great piece or rare merch to get your hands on if you’re quick about it. We spoke with them a few months back and you can check that out HERE.
Grab one at the link below. I don’t see these lasting too long.
Interview with ALEISTER X; New album “Half Speed Mastered” coming out 2/19 on STEEV MIKE Records NOW! @aleisterx @andrewwk
I’m not sure what to make of ALEISTER X yet, but, after a random email for his new video, “LAX (Lexipro Girls,)” the guy definitely has my attention. Playing like the soundtrack to coming down off heavy narcotics in an enjoyably bad dream, the song combines a strange blend of mellow EDM bounce, loose Hip-Hop rhyming, Goth-Punk-Gangsta aesthetic, and a the self-destructive tendencies of Industrial. How could you not want to check it out?
