Postal Service reunion in the works? Is @coachella turning up the heat for 2013???
According to a super vague internet post this morning, it appears that The Postal Service may have a reunion up their sleeves, and all signs thus far point to Coachella being the culprit.
For the record, Goldenvoice rules, and this would be something to behold if it in fact does happen. Stay tuned for more deets as they arise.
Maryland Death Fest featuring, well, almost every extreme metal band ever.
See flyer, buy ticket, go to Maryland in May. Another stellar example of bookers going bonkers for bands. This is going to be very, very LOUD!
Interview with Todd Stoops from RAQ; Playing AURA in Florida!!! @blpfam @kungfutunes #aura
Raq is Baq, and I couldn’t be happier!!! A staple in my college musical diet, the band would play Syracuse University and surrounding areas consistently, bringing their super technical, energetic delivery to small bar stages on a near monthly basis. It was great! As the band progressed in the music scene, I was certain that I’d get to be one of those obnoxious fan/band owners who claimed ‘There First’ rights, but just as the group seemed to really take off, they went on hiatus. I didn’t get it, and it bummed me out.
LIVING COLOUR’S “VIVID” turns 25; Re-issue and Album Tour in the works.
Living Colour’s seminal first album, Vivid, is turning 25. I’m not one to say I feel old, but damn… I was 9 when I first started listening to this thing. A masterpiece!

We need some stateside dates for this immediately, AND WE’VE GOT ‘EM!
