Grindcore Masters PIG DESTROYER have released a never before heard EP entitled Mass &Volume. This EP is dedicated to the memory of Pat Egan and to the loving family he left behind. The EP is a Doom EP and the artwork was created by Arik Roper. The EP is available for purchase at http://patlapse.bandcamp.com/album/mass-volume. This is the only format that this EP is available in and all proceeds of this recording will be donated to the college fund of Pat Egan’s daughter Katie.

Formed in 2006, Boston, Massachusetts thrash/death metal band Revocation are continuing to whip up a storm of metallic intensity, much to the delight of tech-metal solo enthusiasts and fans of whirlwind tempos. I’m sold… Sign me up!

Currently touring in support of their 2011 release Chaos Of Forms, on Relapse Records, as well as Teratogenesis, presented by Scion AV, the now 4-piece group is just finished out The Deconsecrate The Nation Tour with The Haarp Machine and The Faceless, which made its way to Syracuse on a Wednesday night. How’s that for a little mid-week mayhem?!

Interview with Blake Harrison from PIG DESTROYER (@pigdestroyer); Playing CMJ 10/18

And now for one of the most intense bands I’ve ever encountered. I don’t know where some people get the ideas or ambition to write this stuff, but I’m sure glad bands like Pig Destroyer are out there. Tantamount to sonic genocide, this 4-piece Baltimore/DC based grindcore group is one of the spazziest, heaviest, and down right brutal bands on the extreme metal circuit today. Simply crushing.
