Man. Myth. Rocker. Andrew WK came into the mainstream music scene like a bomb going off, and I’d say he was just the kick in the pants that we needed. Rock and Roll is about having fun, partying, and making friends, and who wouldn’t want to hang out with this guy?! I mean, come on… You dead or something?
HENRY ROLLINS is coming to Albany, NY this Thursday 10/25 at The Egg; Check out our interview with him below.
Henry Rollins’ “Takes On Capitalism” speaking tour is coming to Albany, NY tomorrow, and who doesn’t love Hank? If you’re looking for an ever-intriguing take on social/fiscal/moral issues, one needn’t look further than Mr. Rollins, as his speaking engagements virtually ensure a candid, argumentative, and gruff outlook on current events. Did you know he sang in Black Flag?!
Past punk rock achievements aside, we at Live High Five thoroughly endorse checking out his performance, at least once, so if you’re able to make it, you definitely should. Remaining dates are listed below, and you can check out our email interview with the man HERE.

After much anticipation and a long wait, Skalapalooza kicked off last week in Philadelphia at World Cafe, and it was quite a spectacle! To think we’d be able to see The Pietasters, Pilfers, and Spring Heeled Jack one more time is beyond comprehension, but it happened, and what a time it was!
Philly was followed up by hugely successful shows in DC and NYC, and I just wish we could’ve been there to witness the excitement. Thanks for imminent fatigue, CMJ.
Anywho, scroll down to check out a bunch of great photos from Night 1 courtesy of Pamela Janutolo, who was bouncing around all night in a weird work/play balancing act. Great job, Pam!!! Read More…
