Governors Ball 2013
We’ve covered Brooklyn based indie-folkers Swear and Shake in the past and
this Sunday, the quartet will find their way back to Syracuse for a
headlining set at the Wescott Theater.  Since we last checked in the with
the group, they’ve released two new singles and videos off of their forthcoming 2014 album *Ain’t That Lovin’ *(release date TBA,) “Brother” and
“Fire,”  both of which have recieved praise from the likes of Paste, Wild
Honey Pie, and WXPN.

Swear and Shake’s songs feature prominent vocal interplay between boy-girl
duo Kari Spieler and Adam McHeffey, but what sets this band apart from the
rest of the banjo wielding pack is the secret weapon in front-woman Kari
Spieler’s vocal chords.  When Spieler opens it up, it’s the kind of musical
moment we’re all chasing after; The moment where all the hairs stand up on
the back of your neck and your jaw drops to the floor.  It’s those powerful
moments that has earned Swear and Shake a dedicated fan base throughout the
eastern half of the US.

Come see what all the fuss is about this Sunday! Wild Adriatic and The
Danbees to open, rounding out what should make for a fantastic sunday
evening.
